작업 동료 한동훈이 저자로서 집필한 첫 책, “글자 속의 우주”의 북 디자인.
한동훈 작가가 일상 속에서 관찰한 다양한 글자 단상을 그만의 시각으로 엮어낸 책이다.
책에 사용된 자료 이미지의 퀄리티가 일정하지 못한 점을 해결하고자, 모든 이미지의 네 귀퉁이를 둥글리는 시각적 장치를 제안했다. 이런 시각적 장치는 자연스럽게 표지 디자인의 모티브로도 이어졌다. 네 귀퉁이가 둥글려진 다양한 질감의 사각형이 중첩돼 文, 字를 이루도록 구성했다. 각각의 사각형들은 책 안에서 사용된 한동훈 작가의 글자에 대한 시각을 상징한다.

The book design of “The Universe in Letters”, the first book written by work colleague Dong-Hoon Han as an author. This is a book written by Dong-Hoon Han, a writer of various letters he observed in his daily life, from his own point of view.
In order to solve the problem that the quality of the material images used in the book is not constant, a visual device that rounds the four corners of all images was proposed. This visual device naturally led to the motif of the cover design. Squares of various textures with rounded corners are overlapped to form 文 and 字. Each square symbolizes Han Dong-hoon's perspective on the characters used in the book.
